Customized fixtures, that’s our idea. Led-e-Lux produces exactly to your wishes. Of course, we visualize these wishes together. To be able to develop and produce this quickly and well, we work with modules that have already been fully developed. We conduct the production in-house, in a social workshop or a combination of both, depending on the complexity of the product.
The Light, the LEDs
The amount of light and its quality is relatively simple because the application of the right LEDs (OSRAM OSLON) actually determines the quality of the light. Of course, it is no issue to use another brand of LED. We have a lot of experience with Seoul, NICHIA, Lumileds, CREE and Samsung. Therefore, we have developed standards to which these LEDs can be mounted directly.
The Control
Our strength lies in the control of the luminaires. We have in consultation with renowned customers decided to fully rely on MODBUS. Our MODBUS LED driver is capable of controlling more than 200 fixtures simultaneously. That each fixture has different colors is not a problem. What’s more, we can also read the temperatures and consumption levels of each fixture. The investment we made is paying off in the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of the installation. The TCO is especially reflected in the robustness and versatility of MODBUS. Not to mention, because MODBUS can control over 200 fixtures with a relatively simple PLC, an expensive DALI installation is not necessary. Furthermore, MODBUS works on 2 bus wires so that is identical. Our installation partner can support you during the installation.
48V instead of 230V
We also have the possibility to use the fixtures directly on 48Vdc. This is a safe voltage which makes it possible to work on the installation while they are in use. Together with the TCO, this is a very important advantage. 230V fixtures normally have a transformer (LED driver) installed. This way each fixture has a relatively small transformer built in. What we do is use one large transformer that supplies 48V and we can use this to control multiple fixtures (often more than 20 pieces). Depending on the selected wattages, we can pre-calculate that. This makes the fixtures cheaper.
Cooling, Patented Water Cooling
Our fixtures are always made with aluminum housings. Usually these are profiles. For each project, we create a new profile which best suits the customer’s requirements. This way we guarantee that we always use the same profiles for your products. Therefore, there are no unexpected changes. Because several layers of fixtures are used in vertical farming, cooling is often required. This is often done with air distribution hoses or tubes. Cooling air is expensive! Led-e-Lux has a patented water-cooling system. This makes it possible to keep the fixtures at the desired temperature without air cooling. Simple destroyers in the open air are thus sufficient!
