1000 hours salt spray test
For maritime LED lighting used at sea, we have developed salt water resistant luminaires. The fixtures have undergone a 1000 hour salt spray test with exceptionally good results. We use extruded aluminum, which contains less silicon and is therefore more resistant to corrosion. In addition, the fixture is anodized. This is the application of an oxide layer. This oxide layer creates a wear-resistant and hard layer that protects the aluminum. This makes the product durable.
In addition, the aluminum is provided with a special coating that we are proud of.
The fixture comes as 100W, 140W and 200W. The LEDs are from Lumileds and we use the drivers from Philips. These drivers have overvoltage protection and are designed for outdoor industrial applications.
Robust Maritime LED Lighting
Special attention has been given to the robustness of the mount, corrosion resistance and waterproofness.
Meanwhile, these marine lighting fixtures have been used on Van Oort’s seagoing vessels since 2013 without any problems! The fixture weighs less than 6 KG. The finishing is with RVS316ti and the bolts and nuts of A4 quality. This means that the fixture is corrosion resistant and can withstand aggressive environments such as industrial atmosphere, sea climate and chemicals. In addition, the fixture is equipped with a special thick glass.
The driver is enclosed in an aluminum tube. Naturally produced with the latest LED technology and manufactured in Helmond.
Different applications:
- Deck lighting
- windmills
- ports
These fixtures can be used anywhere where there is a lot of salt in the air and corrosion is a problem.
